Volunteering at MAB

MAB is not currently seeking additional volunteer help.  If you are interested in volunteering your time to help your visually impaired neighbors, please contact any of the following organizations:

• The Shepherd's Center of Charlotte: SHIIP volunteers.  Karen Eckert at (704) 365.1995.
• Love Inc: (704) 536-5655.  Love Inc. is currently seeking friendly visitors and assistance with building wheel chair ramps.
• Hands on Charlotte: (704) 333-7471.  Hands on Charlotte is in need of assistance in a variey of ways.  Please contact them for available volunteer opportunities.
• Marion Diehl Senior Center:  (704) 522-6222.  Marion Diehl Senior Center is in need of volunteer assistance with telephone reassurance, etc.
• First Call for Help, the United Way of the Central Carolinas:  (704) 377-1100.  First Call for Help currently has a variety of volunteer opportunities.  Please contact them to find out how you can help.
• Parks and Recreation:  (704) 336-3854
• Charlotte Readers Information Service (704) 875-0040.  Seeking volunteer readers for reading the Charlotte Observer, which is then broadcasted on TV Access 21 weekdays from 2-3:30PM.
