ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY

Orientation and Mobility Specialists train clients to move safely, independently and purposely through the environment. Instruction may take place in the home or in the community on a one-to-one basis. It may include such activities as sidewalk travel, street crossings, and utilizing businesses and public transportation. Often instruction includes the use of a long, folding, red and white cane or a support cane.
