MINI CENTER
The Mini-Center program offers an introduction with hands-on experience to available services at MAB.
The program also offers an exploration of many community resources that provide opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired. The participants are introduced to community facilities such as Charlotte Mecklenburg Senior Center, Marion Diehl Recreation Center, and Camp Dogwood. The program includes guest presentations on Fire Safety and Education and Fraud Safety and Education.
The Mini-Center provides the opportunity for socialization and support group discussion amongst group members which lends towards the development of peer-support for the adjustment process.
