MINI CENTER
The Mini-Center is a program that offers an introduction and hands-on experience to available services at MAB.
The Mini-Center program also offers an exploration of many of the community resources that provide opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired. The participants take tours of community facilities such as Charlotte Mecklenburg Senior Center, Marion Diehl Recreation Center, and Camp Dogwood as well as listen to speakers on Fire Safety and Education and Nutrition and Diabetic Education.
The Mini-Center extends to the participants the opportunity for socialization and discussion amongst the group, which then results in the development of peer-support that aids in their adjustment process.
